We know You’re there for us. We know that You care for us.
And that You’re always with us.
But our thoughts stray far from Your guiding way.
Our thoughts stray so far away.
The mind is slow to learn. To trust in Your daily word.
To let go and follow You.
It just seems so very hard to do.
So hard to trust in You.
Our actions belie our love for You. They hold not to what is true.
They show the world so many wrongs.
But our hearts keep searching for You O God.
Our hearts they search for You.
Today is another chance to let go embrace Your dance.
And follow Your footsteps sure.
To seek the path that leads to You.
To seek to know and love You.
Today I will take the chance. I’ll let go, embrace Your dance.
I’ll follow Your footsteps sure.
