I saw a friend the other day while I was walking down the street.
And though our paths, they rarely cross, it was by chance that we did meet.
I saw her smiling face.
I felt her warm embrace.
I knew that time had not erased our love.
She said, “Hello, my friend.
So good to see you once again.
Do you remember all those castles in the sand?”
I saw a friend the other day while I was walking down the street.
And though our paths, they rarely cross, it was by chance that we did meet.
“Recall as well the times
that we sang silly made up rhymes
and sold cheap koolaid. It was lemon.” “No, it was lime.”
We share a soul connection:
timeless and free.
Eternity could pass away
yet still I’d know her love for me!
I saw a friend the other day while I was walking down the street.
And though our paths, they rarely cross, it was by chance that we did meet.
We spoke of joy and pain;
the many hills in life’s terrain.
Through ups and downs we’ve not allowed our hope to wane.
We share a soul connection:
timeless and free.
Eternity could pass away
yet still I’d know her love for me!

The years have traveled on.
My friend and I our ways have gone.
Yet when we meet again we’ll feel love’s special bond. For…

Timeless and free.
