After daylight comes the dark of night. After autumn comes the winter.
After childhood we grow older and wisdom comes with age.
Daylight brings a false sense of security. We can see where we are going.
We believe that we are knowing that we are in control.
Even daylight has its darker moments. All alone and feeling scared.
Rainy days and winter’s cold and we must slow down at last.
Caterpillars turn to their cocoon. Taking time within the darkness,
Later to emerge a beautiful butterfly in flight from the blessings of the night.
So can we the darker moments treasure. Listen as God speaks directly
To the soul in peaceful stillness and God is in control.

After childhood we grow older and wisdom comes with age.
Slowing down we pray in the dark times of the day. We will hear You say, “I love you”.
