I can greet each new day, see the sun shining through
or with pillow quick, cover my head.
I can do what’s before me and trust Spirit’s strength
or feel hopeless; immersed in my dread.
Yes it’s all up to me! I can follow my dreams
if I choose to look forward not back.
Yes it’s all up to me for I choose how I see.
This is my train and I’m on my track.
I can look to the future with hope in my heart
or ponder tomorrow with fear.
I can take the next step toward my dreams coming true
or with longing recall yesteryear.
