Traveling the road of life
there are days when the burden is so light that I fly!
And I fly with the freedom of the wind
watching neither where I’m going nor where I’ve been.
Other days the load seems great.
And I fret, and I worry, I forget I can choose.
Be alone, struggle so, or side by side
share the secrets of this lifetime: with you abide!
We’re walking one another home.
Side by side, yes, never really on our own.
Life’s a pilgrimage to lands unknown!
And we travel with each other. We are not alone.
We're walking one another home.
When we help our neighbor our own strength does grow.
So we'll spread our wings now, we will soar!
For sweet comfort we'll be knocking at each other's door!
